So after years of looking at this chute from Snowbird I decided to give it a run. I went up and took this shoot two days before.
Getting an early start, to avoid any sun on the above face, I headed up. A guy on the internet said it took them a little over an hour - this was my mistake. It took me an hour and 45 to get to the top, old guy problem.
The views from the saddle were amazing.
A view looking back towards SLC.
A view of the Pfeifferhorn peak.
Looking up towards Grizzly Gulch and Alta - the end of LLC.
This could be the best photo I have ever taken.
With the temps on the rise because of my old ass it was time to get going. The snow in the chute was amazing! The choke was a little rugged due to rocks at the bottom. The big scare of the day was hitting a few big rocks on the apron.
